Is PlayIndiaLottery scam? Read our PlayIndiaLottery.com review 2020 to find out!
Every now and then an online lottery website appears that leaves us speechless. This is sometimes an excellent thing that we can’t wait to tell everybody about. Other times, we wish that we had never stumbled upon the site in the first place. In this PlayIndiaLottery.com review, we will look at a site founded in 2008 that most certainly left us speechless—for all the wrong reasons.
Once you have translated the site into English using Google Translate (the site language selection that allows you to toggle between Hindi and English does not work), you will find that there are six apparently different lotteries for you to choose from. However, these lotteries aren’t the kind of world-renowned games you’re probably interested in playing.
The six lotteries available are:

How Does it Work?
To begin, you will need to register a free player account using your mobile number and email address. However, when we tried to do this during our review, we could not manage, and the site just hung there doing nothing at all.
Despite that, if the theory of the site is correct (when looking at our experience with other online lottery websites), once you have managed to create a player account and log into the website, you should be able to select the numbers that you would like to play for each lottery. What each of these lotteries is, how many numbers you need to select for each lottery, and what the rules, jackpots, or odds of any of these lotteries are is anybody’s guess.
This is because, unlike other lottery websites that grant each lottery their own webpage that lists all the above information, PlayIndiaLottery does not. Instead, all lotteries are listed underneath one another on the home page of the site.
Is PlayIndiaLottery.com Legit or a Scam?
We are going to come right out and say it—in our most humble opinion—stay very, very far away from this website. Not only does the site not function the way that it is meant to, it has no SSL certificate (a massive no-no in today’s times); there are also no terms and conditions available anywhere on the site.
Add to this the fact that the site was flagged in numerous email scams when we initially started doing our research, and the simple matter is that we hope never to revisit this site.
The overall user experience when visiting the site is something that could only have been concocted by somebody that hates all Internet users. The site is horrible outdated in terms of its design and does not look appealing in the slightest.
The fact that the ‘About Us’ tab on the site menu (which is located at the bottom of the website for some strange reason) does not link to anything also doesn’t help much. However, the worst transgression is the fact that to read anything on the site, you need to visit it via Google Translate. For Hindi speakers, this may not seem like much of an issue. However, having a language toggle that does not even work is more than just slightly annoying.
Aside from the fact that the website offers a results chart that lists all the latest lottery results, there are no extras. The only other thing that could even be considered an extra is the ‘How to Play’ guide. This guide does a terrible job of trying to explain how the website works and how to navigate around it. However, unlike what a useful guide does, this guide works only to leave you with even more questions and to frustrate you even further. If that’s what the writers were going for, then they’ve definitely achieved their goal!
We would love to tell you all the different payment and withdrawal options that are available to you through the site. Unfortunately, not a single one is mentioned. Not that we would recommend that you enter any type of payment details on a site that does not have an SSL certificate anyway. But we are reasonably confident that if you did, somehow managed to buy a ticket, and were lucky enough to win, that it would be near impossible for you to actually withdraw your money.
How to Claim Your Winnings
To do things differently from almost all other online lottery sites, this site has absolutely no information regarding how you would go about claiming your winnings. Again, we are pretty sure this is because you wouldn’t be able to.
The only customer support options available on the site is a contact number that can be used both for the latest draw results and to contact customer care (095 559 996 08). Other than this, the only other thing that forms customer support is the incredibly useless guide to playing.
There are no welcome bonuses or promotions mentioned anywhere on the site—which does not surprise us in the slightest.
Rules and Regulations
Amazingly, the website does actually have regulations as to who is allowed access to it. However, these are incredibly generic and simply state that players who are in regions where the lottery is restricted may not make use of the website. In addition, the site also says that only players who are 18 years of age or older may use its services (or lack thereof).
PlayIndiaLottery.com Review – Conclusion
As we said at the start of this review, occasionally a site appears that leaves us speechless. In the case of PlayIndiaLottery.com, this was not a good thing. This is easily one of the worst online lottery sites that we have encountered. Aside from lacking everything that makes a lottery website good, the site does not even manage to work correctly—despite the small amount of content available on it.
Unless you live in India and know something we don’t, we have to repeat it—we strongly recommend that everyone else avoid this site at all costs. Instead, read our guide to playing online lotteries in India and take a look at the many other alternatives that are out there. At least in doing so, you can ensure that you remain safe online and don’t fall into what appears to be a very obvious trap. You have been warned.
