Powerball lottery: Did you win Wednesday’s $190M Powerball drawing? Winning numbers, live results (04/08/2020)

The Powerball lottery drawing for Wednesday, April 8, 2020 is worth an estimated $190 million. Check back later to see if anyone won the Powerball jackpot.

The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday’s lottery drawing has jumped to an estimated $190 million with a cash option of $156 million.

The winning numbers were: 2, 37, 39, 48 and 54. The Powerball drawn was 5 with a Power Play of 3x.

While no one hit Saturday’s $180 million drawing across the country, a pair of second-prize tickets were sold. A ticket bought in North Carolina is worth $2 million because the winner spent an extra $1 for the Power Play option while one purchased in Arizona is valued at $1 million.

In New Jersey, a pair of third-prize tickets were sold — one worth $150,000 the other valued at $50,000.

The $150,000 ticket was bought at Quick Mart on Knopf Street in Linden, while the $50,000 ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven on Tonnelle Avenue in North Bergen.

Both matched four numbers plus the Powerball.

Saturday’s winning numbers were: 8, 31, 39, 40 and 43. The Powerball drawn was 4 with a Power Play of 3x.

The Powerball jackpot was last won on Feb. 13 when someone who bought a ticket in Pontiac, Michigan won the $70 million prize.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while there’s about a 1 in 913,129 shot of winning the third prize of at least $50,000.

Powerball is played on Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, Washington D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

The New Jersey Lottery office in Lawrence will be closed until at least April 17 and won’t be accepting walk-in claims. You can still claim your winnings — provided they’re less than $599.50 — in person at any retailer.

The lottery is also accepting mailed claims, though officials warn payments may be “temporarily delayed.” Winners are advised to make copies of the claim form and the winning ticket for their records.

The expiration date for all claims set to expire between March 19, 2020, and April 17, 2020 will now be extended for an additional 30 days from the date of expiration. For example, a winning ticket that was purchased on March 31, 2019 would normally expire within one year from the date of purchase on March 31, 2020. Due to the extension, the claim in this example will not expire until April 30, 2020.
