The jackpot was an estimated $24 million with a cash option of $19.7 million, according to the Mega Millions website.
There was no overall winner so the jackpot will rise to $31 million with a cash option of $24.9 million for Friday night’s drawing. One ticket sold in Camillus, New York matched all five white balls to win $1 million, while a ticket sold in Texas also had the Megaplier to win $4 million.
Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot was at $169 million with a cash option of $140.6 million, according to the Powerball website.
Until recently, lottery winners in New Jersey were required to be identified, but now winners will be able to stay anonymous under a new law that was signed by Gov. Phil Murphy.
