Mega Millions winning numbers for Friday, Oct. 19
We’ve all fantasized about winning the lottery, and what we’ll spend the money on, but a new study finds that cash windfall doesn’t actually make you feel happier. Nathan Rousseau Smith has the story.

The winning numbers drawn Oct. 19 were:
15 – 23 – 53 – 65 – 70 and Mega Ball: 7
The Megaplier was 2x
The cash option for Friday’s drawing was $565 million.
The Mega Millions jackpot has continued to grow since July and is the second largest jackpot in lottery history. A $1.5 billion Powerball jackpot was won by three people in 2016.

New Jersey residents have had luck with major jackpots in 2018.
A Vernon man won $533 million from Mega Millions in late March, which was the fourth-high jackpot the game had ever awarded at the time, and the second-largest won by a single person. A Riverdale mini-mart sold the ticket. Since then, a single California ticket won a $543 million jackpot in July, though that was split among several people in an office pool, according to the Mega Millions website.
A Little Ferry man won a $351.3 million Powerball jackpot in May. The winning ticket was sold at a Shoprite in Hackensack.
The next Powerball drawing is Saturday night, and the jackpot is estimated at $430 million.
Friday's jackpot was worth $1 billion, the largest Mega Millions jackpot ever and the second largest in lottery history. ]]>
