you cant get a hold of a live person. The bank they supposedly work with Sutton does not affiliate themselves with cash app so if you dont get a deposit your pretty much SOL like I am on my last two unemployment checks. will be reporting to the BBB

I had a account with them and had a issue with something and could not speak to anybody in person and they do not help you if you are the one that was supposed to receive money and never get it. In my eyes if you are running a business that is in control of somebody’s cash and livelihood then they should at least have the courtesy to speak with you in person under certain circumstances which they will not at best you will email back and forth with somebody and they might respond to you in 24 hours if you are lucky. I did not give a one-star only because in my eyes there is always room to be worse LOL but in this case there’s not much room if I could do one point five star I would obviously I no longer will use this company good luck to those of you that do hopefully they will work on their customer service and it would definitely be a three or four star app at that time

Cash app is full of it. I had a thousand dollars taken from me and cash app has not refund my money. Everything cash app asked me to do i done it. But still no results. Cash app runs you around with things they need you to do and still don’t help. I hate you can only contact them by email so impersonal. I had my money taken i like to hear a voice to help me.

Cash app is Fruad they cannot protect your information someone used cash app to request and takes money out of my bank account, when I contact cash app through emails ( no customer service) they talk me that person get my information some where and used their cash app to withdraw money that they cannot do nothing, but that person used cash app platform to withdraw money from my account they didn’t want to file disputes for me, they know the person and that person have account with them

CASH APP/SQUARE IS ROBBING PEOPLE WITHOUT A GUN.

On 7/3/2020 I was locked out of my account without warning for suspicious activity which never happened. I have $2,448.80 in my cash app account that I cannot access until cash app does an investigation which has been weeks and still no contact. I have started a claim with the BBB which they are doing an investigation as well. Im hoping cash app/Square unlocks my account and I can update my review with better news.
I am encouraging others to start a paper trail if you are experiencing similar issues.
In no way is it fair to lock me out of my account and not have a way to troubleshoot this issue.
SHAME ON YOU, GIVE ME MY MONEY NOW CASH APP/SQUARE.

I am not paying no fee too receive money at least with PayPal no one has to pay no fee on there sorry CashApp you get an F rating from this customer people need to quit using that dumb app.

If I could give them 0 stars I would! My card has been blocked for almost two weeks for non-existent “Suspicious Activity”. They are holding my funds and I have been trying to contact them for about the same amount of time, with no response. I have tried to contact via their app (As instructed), FB Messenger, Twitter and Instagram and still NOTHING! Beware!

Payment Pending for hours now.

i have been using cash app for years now but after this “payment pending” issue, im going back to straight cash. and when you have a real issue there is no custom service help in the app just some unhelpful tips. i have been waiting for the pending issue to resolve for hours now, while on the other hand i had someone else send me money to test and it works soooo why is this one payment not going through.

Set up the app got the card did one tranaction for 20.00. In and out no problem the had a person pay me a invoice and the account was closed with no reason. Ask why 4 times. Never a reply. Never use this screwed up app or Square service again

Please, read this review as I don’t do a ton of altruistic stuff in my life, but I cannot ignore this.
Do NOT USE THIS APP.
Why would ANYONE do financial business with a company that has no phone support? You might as well put a sign on your back that says “I’m an idiot” and walk around.
In digital banking, the margins of error are looming over you already. This makes dedicated 24/7 phone support with LIVE PEOPLE of the utmost importance.
Cash App has no phone support. ZERO. You will NEVER reach a person. Additionally, they do not respond to social media cries for attention. If something goes wrong, you are SCREWED.
Please, heed my warning..from someone who has made the excruciating mistake for you. do everything possible to avoid this app.

If I could give it no stars I would. I started up the account it took them two weeks to verify me so I could start buying Bitcoin. Then I asked for another verification of picture of my credit card. I did not feel comfortable giving this so I contacted them and then they closed down my account. without explaining why they just said that I violated their terms and conditions. This app is a waste of time and you can’t get ahold of anybody. I tried contacting them I get an automated system saying that there’s nobody available. I tried emailing them, I get an automated email in about 2 seconds saying that I still violated their terms of use and they count won’t be reopened and they won’t tell me what I did. I haven’t even made a transaction yet thankfully but looking through other things on Google it looks like they messed over a lot of other people. Don’t waste your time keep your money safe stay off this app.

Customer Identification Document Requirements

The US Patriot Act requires Venmo to implement a Customer Identification Program (CIP). Each country or region has specific CIP requirements for the coll ection of customer data. Some examples of the information we collect and verify can include your name, physical address, date of birth, and National/Tax ID number (SSN/ITIN). To verify your identity, we use a National Database to obtain a positive match of legal name, address, date of birth, and SSN/ITIN.

In order to verify your identity, tap the ☰ button at the top of the app, tap “Settings,” and tap “Identity Verification.”

Note : Sometimes finding your information using the National Database does not work because the information is unavailable or your name or address has chan ged.

If we cannot verify your personal information, we will ask you to send us documentation in the app that confirms your identity.

If you need to submit additional information about your name and date of birth the following unexpired documents will work:

  • U.S. passport
  • Driver license
  • U.S. government issued ID
  • DHS card
  • Tribal ID card

Please make sure your picture of the document is clear and legible.

If you need to submit additional information about proof of address the following documents will work:

  • Unexpired driver license (with current address)
  • Unexpired U.S. government issued ID
  • Bank, credit card, or 401K/brokerage statement (from the past 12 months)
