Food for Thought: 4/10

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – There are a half dozen stops in this week’s Food for Thought report – five top performers and one low.

KCBD NewsChannel 11’s Christy Hartin dishes out the details.

We start with the good news. Here’s a look at this week’s top performers:

  • Chimy’s Cerveceria at 2417 Broadway
  • Chip’s at 5164 69th
  • Golden Chick at 4317 50th
  • Harrigan’s at 3801 50th
  • Bingo Express at 3601 N. Loop 289

The only low performer has the same name.

Bingo Express III at 3605 N. Loop 289 had five critical violations.

  • Ham, ground beef and boiled eggs were above the safe cold temperature of 41 degrees.
  • Sausage patties were not at least 135 degrees.
  • An employee did not wash their hands before putting on gloves.
  • Cheese was molded.
  • The inspector noticed many read-to-eat food items with an improper date mark.

According to the report, all violations were corrected at the time of the investigation.
